On June 11th, 2016, the West Trenton Garden Club participated in the Ewing's "Through the Garden Gate" tour. This tour was presented by our club, the Ewing Green Team and Girl Scout Troop #70138. It was a beautiful day, where many enjoyed the lovely gardens on display in Ewing and Lawrenceville. This was a self-directed driving tour for a great price of $10 per person. Your tour started at the Benjamin Temple House, where the house and colonial kitchen gardens were on display.
You then could pick and choose whatever gardens you wished to visit - whether you could visit them all or just a few. Here is the garden list for the tour. Ingrid Fair's Whimsical Garden (Ingrid is one of our member's); Zofia Feulner's Happy Garden (Zofia is also a WTGC member); Palise Rose Garden (Terry Palise, also a member); Antheil Elementary School Garden; Mullowney Garden of Blood, Sweat and Tears; Railroad Garden (Mr. Leid's unique collection of trail signs, lights, signals and memorabilia); Mrs. Romeo's Serene Retreat; Keenan Victory Garden (Eileen and Jim are members of WTGC); Steward Garden; Dupee Garden; Birmingham Park (WTGC maintained park); and What's a Poor Bug to Do? (Dianne Dickinson's garden, WTGC member and former President).
